I was born and raised in Miami. As a general dentist, my goal is to make patients care about their oral health the way I do. I believe the best way to help my patients is by getting to know them and working towards establishing a trustworthy relationship. I want to know my patients’ dental concerns, anxieties, and fears so that we can create a plan to rebuild their smile.
Where did you study dentistry?
I majored in Psychology at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, but ever since I was young, I always dreamed of living in New York City. I got the opportunity to do so when I got my dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry. Since then, I’ve had the chance to attend several continuing education seminars to expand my dental knowledge in orthodontics and oral surgery. I’m an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Why did you decide to become a dentist?
I originally wanted to be a lawyer after watching too much Law and Order. When I got to college, I realized that I was more interested in healthcare and decided on dentistry when I spoke to my orthodontist. Once I started treating patients in dental school, my true passion for dentistry was ignited. I had the chance to treat so many patients who were so grateful for the help I could give them. I realized that I could make a difference in how someone sees or feels about themselves, and that is one of my favorite things about dentistry. I also love that I get to interact with people of different backgrounds and learn so much about them through their life stories.
What locations do you work at?
A New Smile-Kendall.
What do you like to do outside of the dental office?
On the weekends, you can find me hanging out with my friends, family, and my dog, Simba. I also enjoy going to the gym and the beach. I love taking weekend trips and exploring new places.
